The Philosophy of Cowardice -a psychological dissection! Waging War Vol. 4

Fellow Nigerians:

For me I consider it no hard feelings to say thank you to our past leaders in this weak nation going great. And my focus is on the code-name IBB(a wonderful father)-I did not say my father, but I said a wonderful father. I say thank you to him for stepping out to rule our dear weak nation going great in those years when there was no one capable enough to lead this nation. Yet you and I should recall that ‘like father like son’. If at all I was a son to IBB and I had been raised and natured by him, hmm…then you would have a ‘like father like son’ scenario.

Be considerate Nigerians and recall that the young man IBB came out to rule a weak nation like ours in his days as a service when no one was willing to. Therefore give kudos to him for coming out again as an old man since there are no young people capable of leading this nation. Maybe my dear old Papa IBB did not raise me well then as a young person if I were his son—well ‘like father like son’, because an Evil Genius can only give birth to an Evil Genius anyway.

Let me end my little letter to all Nigerians by letting you see a scientific research on the nature and composition of our one and only Great of the Greatest Ruler, IBB. I hope you do understand this clumsy scientific breakthrough. I hate the word ‘luck’ but anyway good luck as you read. You might need 100% concentration and your toilet might just be good enough a place, if it is clean enough and never mind, you are used to it anyway, clean or stinking. Forgive me for being nasty, it has only come to be allowed in this Modern Nigeria; or is it just a ‘like father like son thing’? Have a wonderful day and don’t steal at work. Oh I forgot, ‘like father like son’, I mean $12.5 Billion is not small money, some father did too. I never mentioned IBB, you know it. I will see you where we normally meet, later.
And by the way, in case your head begins to pound and whirl while reading the scientific jargons below, drop the piece jejely and flee, it might be a letter bomb and can make heads explode.

A mental war!
The pawn in the hand of a scared-thrift rat; setting into a perpetually, restless, merry-go-round fashion; a people groping in the dark with non-cohesive voices.
My philosophy of cowardice is deeply rooted in the strategy of mental war unleashed against the target(the Nigerian people). But behind the glittering façade of the bravery in the spotlight, is a dearth of fear and cowardice cloaked with powerful artistry of scheming of a skunk.

To a hungry people, to an oppressed people, however played by the basest thing on earth, a mental war will prevail. I need not have a power of my own really, so long as you the rightful heirs and heiress to the throne of goodness are blinded in oppression and hunger and are now unable to see that I am just a cock in a cowboy’s outfit pulling the strings of your destiny; all I need is simply what you have and are not able to see and fight for.

A little jolt by a mere shadow can cause a flock of 150 million sheep to run down the steep into death minus me, even though the shadow was seen by just one sheep. But truly the shadow was scared to death too, coming in contact with the flock, but seeing the flock take such flight and even going ahead to name the shadow ‘Evil genius’ sparks a great idea in the shadow that is irresistible. And that idea is simply hiding behind such a colossal name to make the shadow look like a colossus. Now to maintain the stature of that fearful name, there is need to put up a new public image; artistically carved by a professional artist; the image of being slimy with all perfections of deceit and lies, a body language of delicateness—an art of speaking less and a poisonous smile (mother of all seductive smiles).

Once this is perfected, though the people complain against the colossus, they no longer see the cowardice cloaked in the robe of bravery which even a few flutter of a butterfly can pull off. A mesmerizing stature is attained already and to keep up with that ‘respectable’ image of a colossus, all the paraphernalia of sliming has to be perfected in order to cover the ‘nobody’ underneath.

This is my philosophy of cowardice; an Evil Genius is a secluded scared rat living in the cocoon of flight. Its power is strengthened when attention is paid to it; for it seeks recognition. Yet, if you also give to it no recognition, it enlarges beyond life and usurps all available powers by deceit under your nose without realizing it. This is my advice as a young person; the old might have a better—mount a constant and heated siege around its hole, in a highly pressurized form, the result would amaze you, to know what sort of bravery lies behind those cloaks of tricks in a mendacious subtlety.

What Pride is not

It is impossible to be God's firebrand and not be a proud person; except you are always accomodative; letting brotherly love and peace continue even in the absence of truth; being neither here nor there.

Excellence of the New Nigeria

For those of us who seek to be different in this crooked and perverse generation, i think we need to pray constantly for the
spirit of excellence because sometimes we loose steam and are unable to continue whatever good that we begin in this nation
and everything just die down; its a babylonian spirit and it was said of 'this Daniel'; faultless, one in whom dwells the
spirit of excellence. except we possess this spirit so that as it was said to Zerubabbel; the hands of Zerubabbel has laid the
foundation of this house and his hand shall finish it with the shout of grace, grace unto it, we might just continue with the
same spirit working in our leaders with abandoned projects here and there.
i believe we must strive to wash ourselves, because face it whatever, whatever is the ills that dwells in the nigerian society
it dwells in the lives of each individual of her people and it is now left for us to always look back to ourselves when we see
such ills and probe whether it is in us and make the rightful amends--that is the New Nigeria. how be it that all nigerians
be filled with this spirit of excellence from God; it is an instant transformation of life back to the Paradise of God!
AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, I CHOOSE FROM NOW ON TO LIVE IN THE NEW NIGERIA IN THE NOW AND I AM ALREADY IN THE NEW NIGERIA
BECAUSE I CHOOSE TO BRING THE NEW NIGERIA INTO NOW BY THE WAY I LIVE MY LIFE!

The 7000

Elijah ran for his life from Jezebel and presented himself before God who asked him what he was doing were he was hiding and
he answered 'they have killed all your prophets and i alone im left'. God told him He had reserved 7000 for Himself who had
not bowed to the Baal(idols, corruption etc). It struck me some weeks back that we have 774 local governments in Nigeria, divide 7000 by 774 you get
an average of 9. That means 9people in each local government, some local government have 9 Wards, it means one man in each Ward.
Guys, why not that one man being Counselor in his Ward and the 9 in the Local Government and the 7000 in the 774 local governments?
You and I need to move out to evangelize Nigeria like we do Jesus! It's a technology I've used over and over; it turns out real
great and interesting and some Nigerians could be so thoughtful and malleable.

Leadership

How would a right leader(ship) without the right followership breed the New Nigeria? I know we know we say that just one
right man from God; but let us also remember Isreal in and coming out of Egypt; having been saved by the hand of Moses and
with Egypt having been destroyed, the Isrealite fell victim of the same fate because they did not align with that one right
man that God gave them. The Nigerian fate requires a 50/50 affair from the leadership and followership and until the Nigerian
populace realise that we are the ones responsible for all the woes of this nation(for the leaders arise from the followers),
we might fall victim like Isreal in the wilderness with an 'entitlement mentality'; not accepting our wrongs.
yet if God chooses a one man like we say that He should give us one right man; that right man had better known the
dress code: for me(rod in the righthand, staff in the lefthand and sword on the thigh). If God does not save peacefully, I have always
prepared in my mind uptill now not to rule out war.

The Plague of Power Transformers’ Cable Theft in Lagos

From Owodunni/Awoyokun in Palmgrove, Lagos Nigeria; a plague is sweeping through the town in a ferocious manner carting away with it a single item of interest ‘Transformer Cables’ and leaving behind; the old, young, men and women in these areas panting and gasping for breath. The whole area has suddenly gone quite and people simply gaze with no knowledge of what to do. Even if we do know what to do, the strength to do isn’t there anymore, knowing that even if the cables be replaced, it might not last again more than a couple of hours before the ‘owners’ of the cables come ‘take’ them away again just as it almost happened to a school nearby us, whose cables were stolen and the PHCN guys came and replaced them only for the ‘owners’ to come again about 2-3 nights later; thanks to the newly stationed night guard around the transformer who saw the owners right at the act of trying to steal the cables again and they fled.

Three times in less than a year, four times in less than 2 years; for the ones I’ve witnessed, it first happened around Oct-Dec. 2009 when suddenly we heard the cables had been stolen, it took close to 2-3months for the almighty PHCN to come replace them at Dec. and just as the cry of the baby was heard and the shouts of joy filled the whole maternity ward, there came the shrieks of a crib death in January and there we go again the cables gone. And how do we explain to the almighty PHCN their cables had been stolen again after a wonderful gesture they bestowed on us by replacing the stolen cables only for it to be stolen again by who, by they themselves? Well, they freaked out and insisted unless we the neighborhood provide security for their installation (imagine MTN, GLO, ZAIN etc to ask the neighborhoods to provide security for their installations) hell who cares? But not with the almighty PHCN, we foolishly complied and spent about N150, 000+. And let me gist you the location of the transformer so you understand better: it is on the highway (Ikorodu road), on an undeveloped land overgrown with bushes and thorns. You dare don’t stay around that spot more than 5seconds at night lest…ok. Some of us insisted relocation of the transformer but others and PHCN prevailed and installed another cables.

Now it has come yet again in the month of August, they yet have struck, what do we do? It is happening at an alarming rate all around: going out everyday and hearing people say ‘they wanted to steal our cables or they stole our cables’. Hopefully it would be they stole our transformer soon.
It happened somewhere in Ketu also and residents of that neighborhood went ahead to arrest the manager of the PHCN and I learnt he did confess to have done it along with his boys. Each time cables are to be stolen, there usually is a power cut first; the officials of PHCN must be made to answer to all these weird and rampaging theft of cables with market value of N250, 000 (they said so ‘PHCN’ not me). Imagine in our own situation 4*250, 000 = 1,000, 000 (cool cash), pardon my remark or rather who really cares.
