The flooding that swept across Pakistan in recent days is surely one that no one would pray for and an indicator that the global warming is what our leaders across the world need to take seriously. And to leaders of developing countries mostly in Africa, they need to arise too, to find a solution to this common problem that plagues the human race. I do not believe that so much should be dispensed towards clamoring or arguing about who puts what on the table and who does not, yet I do not also disagree that nations that emit more shouldn’t put more on the table. But we need to work together in striking a balance to forge a pattern to ameliorate the sufferings of many across the world as a result of global warming; because when the eyes cry even the nose runs.
The tension that had raged between the two nuclear neighbors for years had been a source of concern to the international community but all that seem to have been tossed behind between both countries all in the name of giving a helping hand in the evil days. This is a very welcome development, and one one could only hope turns out to be a point of reflection in days ahead when the two leaders of both countries are seated at the table dialoguing about the fate of both nations.
The Pakistani flooding left in its paths sorrows and destruction. But in a bittersweet fashion it left behind what I see as blessings and grains(this is not to in anyway insult the sensibility of those who suffered loss please) by means of the hand extended by India to its nuclear neighbor Pakistan and the acceptance of the $5m given it by the Indian government. I pray and hope this does turn out to be a springboard to permanent peace at the border of the Asian brothers and restore the strained diplomatic tier between the two nations.
